Today's show is brought to you by Celtic Invasion Vacations

Every year, I take Celtic music fans on an adventure of a lifetime. This is not your typical wham-bam-thank you m'aam tour. We travel in small groups. We explore the Celtic history of different regions. We don't need to see everything, because this is a vacation. Instead, our invasion brings out the relaxation and magic of our adventure. In 2018, you can join me on a Celtic Invasion of the Isle of Skye in Scotland. Sign up to the mailing list at celticinvasion.com.

* Helping you celebrate Celtic culture through music. My name is Marc Gunn. I am a musician and podcaster. You can share this show and find more episodes at celticmusicpodcast.com. And you can support this show on Patreon.

Originally, I planned for this to be a Sci fi Celtic music show. But I just couldn't find that many sci fi songs by Celtic bands that I could play. So I decided instead to do a small feature. That'll be later on in the show.

* CELTIC PODCAST NEWS

The Irish & Celtic Music Podcast comes out each and every week due to the generosity of people like you. Your kind pledge of as little as $1 per episode pays for the production of this podcast, as well as my time in producing the show. You get shows before regular listeners and my deepest thanks. When we hit a milestone, you get a 2-hour special. I want to thank to our newest patrons: Edward Montgomery, Larry McCloskey, Leah Kershner, Ron Sargent! Become a patron today!

Yesterday, I went live on Facebook for about an hour as I worked on the shownotes for this week's podcast. I had a nice time chatting with listeners. And best of all, I got some input for new artists to contact for the show. While it might not've been gripping video, it was a valuable way for me to connect with you the listener and new bands. So I want to try this again next Friday, May 12 at 9 am central. I'll put up an event page on Facebook with details.

CelticMusicPodcast.com is now fully integrated with Libsyn. My hope is have a more stable website for visitors. I also have bestcelticmusic.net as the side website to help promote the show. Of course this big change means my old music@celticmusicpodcast.com email address is no longer valid. I'm still trying to migrate the CelticMP3s.com reviews. But we'll see if I can find a way to do that.

If you want some more May the Fourth Sci Fi Pub Songs, I recorded an episode of the Pub Songs Podcast last year for Star Wars Day. It's show #141. You can find a link in the shownotes.

My latest Kickstarter features pub songs inspired by Joss Whedon's TV show, Firefly, and movie, Serenity. I've already hit my goal, but there are some cool Stretch Goals if you'd like music inspired by this cult TV series.

* I WANT YOUR FEEDBACK: What are you doing today while listening to the podcast? You can send a written comment along with a picture of what you're doing while listening. Email a voicemail message to celticpodcast@gmail.com
